Friends of HMF Equipment Evening – 6th March 2024

We had the honour of hosting a gathering of our Friends and dedicated NHS clinicians at our annual Equipment Presentation event, held at the Candover Clinic within Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital.

Sponsored by Trethowans, the evening was a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow supporters, clinicians, and witness first-hand the profound impact of your generous contributions. We proudly showcased a selection of the remarkable equipment purchased through our Friends support, each item representing a significant step forward in enhancing healthcare across Hampshire.

We were joined by Hampshire hospital Matrons, Raewyn and June, who showcased one of the brand new Incubator Carestations for Neonatal at Basingstoke and Winchester, that were funded by donations from our Celebration of Christmas concert in December. These incubators are vital and will keep preterm, sick and vulnerable babies secure and warm.

We also showcased the Bodyjet EVO, a remarkable piece of equipment that provides reconstructive treatment to breast cancer patients, the new Hamilton V1 Transfer Ventilators for Critial Care, FEES Equipment for the Speech & Language Therapy Department and the ISTAT Machines for Paediatric Oncology.

We were privileged to welcome Alex Whitfield, the Chief Executive of Hampshire Hospitals, whose poignant speech in the evening underscored the importance of the equipment contributions made possible by the Hampshire Medical Fund.
