We are proud to share a significant addition to the Andover War Memorial Hospital’s patient care resources – a cutting-edge motorised bariatric wheelchair, generously donated by the Anton Rotary Club. 

This state-of-the-art equipment showcases a pivotal step towards addressing the evolving needs of patients with limited mobility. With a maximum capacity of 325kg, the wheelchair offers a lifeline for individuals requiring bariatric support, ensuring inclusivity and dignity in care delivery.

One of the standout features of this wheelchair is its integrated push motor, meticulously designed to alleviate strain on porter shoulders and wrists. This not only enhances operational efficiency but also prioritises the safety and well-being of healthcare professionals, mitigating occupational hazards and promoting sustainable caregiving practices.
